In 2019, Washtenaw County completed the first phase of Zeeb Road reconstruction between Ellsworth Road and Waters Road. After acquiring additional funding, thanks in part to the Roads and Non Motorized Millage renewed by voters in 2020, the county will complete the second phase this year, which calls for the one mile segment of county primary road to be paved, the road commission said.Additional funding for the project is also coming from the Michigan Transportation Fund, according to the county. The road commission plans to begin Phase 2 road work in May as road design is underway and permit applications are being prepared, officials said. When reconstruction is completed, the stretch of Zeeb Road will provide a paved connection to Pleasant Lake Road.Discussions with adjacent property owners will begin soon and some trees near the roadway will need to be removed to accommodate proper drainage and modern road design, officials said.Considering environmental restrictions, some of the trees near the roadway will need to be removed before March 31, the county said.During construction, Zeeb Road between Pleasant Lake Road and Ellsworth Road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be posted, the county said.

Heritage operator over the last 20 years and also the impending Bulldozing of the Historic Large Erecting Shop at Eveleigh, will be something that is going to hang around the heads of those involved for their entire life, and i don’t just mean the Government. People don’t want to find out, or choose not to find out what is really happening amongst the inner workings of rail presrvation in this state, especially on this important matter, i am more than happy to withold any information i receive and not share it with you..
